Let me tell you a story.
There is a young teenage girl in a city. She wakes up early in the morning as it is her father's birthday. She checks with her uncle if the birth day cake has arrived and the uncle responds that the cake is ready. She gets dressed in a beautiful pink gown. She celebrates her father's birthday as her father cuts the cake and shows his happiness to his daughter. She then meets with some friends in the city and then goes to a restaurant on a beach nearby to her place to spend her remaining time of the day. She comes back home to have dinner and once she is done, she goes to bed. She wakes up early in the next morning and goes to her uncle again to check if the birth day cake has arrived. Because, in her mind, the next day and the day after every day, is nothing but her father's birth day
Someone cracked a joke once talking about the definition of memories. He said, "the memory is what tells a man that his wife's birth day was yesterday". In case of a man in general, this is a proven fact. Most of the times, a man ends up remembering his wife's birth day only on the next day of the actual birth day. But in case of this girl, can one imagine a life like this? This girl met with an accident almost about an year ago and since then, she has been suffering from a disease called 'short term memory loss'. She forgets everything that happened once she sleeps and by the time she wakes up again, all that she thinks about is the plan that she made on the day before she met with the accident. That was her father's birth day. Doctors confirmed that there was no cure for this problem and she would have to live her life like this. Can one imagine her parents' situation?
The story has not only this tragedy but also some touching moments. After some days, a man comes into her life and says he wants to marry her. The story continues for some more days and every day, the man introduces himself to her and says that he wants to marry her. He goes on doing this every single day for almost 3 months. One day, he thinks about a solution and begins his attempts. He makes a video shooting his own talk in it. In the video, he talks about all that happened for the last 3 months in her life and then explains how this girl met with an accident and lost her memory almost a year ago. He makes it a habit to her that she watches this video every day when she wakes up in the morning and keeps the video updated every now and then, for example, he adds all that her friends talk about her when she is not around or he adds some international news to it. Not only the videos, he fills all her bed room with all those photos and pictures that show her the kind of life she has been living all the time. One day he marries her and updates the video with his marriage as well. Can one imagine a lover like him?
To inspire someone or to console someone, we better say, life is beautiful. The face of the reality, sometimes I think, is probably not as beautiful as life is. I do not know if it is true only in my case, but I want to say one last thing. Most part of the life has only questions, not the answers. Can one imagine the hardness of life?
