Whilst it's the end of the Harry Potter film and book series, the adventure for Harry Potter fans across the globe isn't finished yet. There are many events we have to look forward to over the next couple of months; Pottermore website launch, release of the Deathly Hallows part 2 DVD and of course Harry Potter World Universal Orlando celebration packages.
When first released on the 15th of June, we saw a small glimpse of the Pottermore website albeit very small. Pottermore drew huge media attention and speculation from almost every Potter fan on the planet, one of the biggest rumours is that Pottermore is going to be an MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online) game. The online trademark, owned by Warner Bros, gives a hint to what we can expect: "Providing multiple-user access to a global computer information network; providing on-line chat rooms and electronic bulletin boards for transmission of messages among users in the field of general interest".
Some lucky few managed to grab a spot as beta testers for the new Harry Potter website through a series of quiz questions. Testers were able to test some of the features, such has Harry potter spells, potion making, flying and duelling which will later become available to the general public sometime in October.
We also look forward to the DVD release of the Deathly Hallows part 2. After a huge success at the premiere in London earlier this year with movie fans queuing in Trafalgar square for over five days, the DVD release is sure to be another big hit. The DVD is rumoured to be released on the 16th of November in order to mark 10 years since the release of the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone. The film will be available on HD (High definition) DVD, Blu-ray and maybe, 3D.
Finally, to mark the celebration of 10 years of filming genius, the wizarding world of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Orlando will be holding three days of magical excitement. This celebration will be held between the 11th and 13th of November and will include; Questions and answer sessions with cast members, Question and answer sessions with Filmmakers and the creative team of universal orlando and epic screenings of all eight films including Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
There are two main packages; the premiere package and the celebration package. All packages include 4 night stays (7 nights for UK customers) in universal partner hotels, 3 day tickets to orlando theme parks, early admission to the HP theme park, complete Blu-ray set of films, CityWalk party pass and a commemorative pin. The premiere package also includes admission to a night time gala event, one cast signing session and breakfast every morning in the three broomsticks.
Unfortunately premiere packages have sold out for US residents although celebration packages are still available. There are still premiere packages available for UK customers and with tickets ranging between £1,299 and £1,799 each, they are rather fairly priced (these prices include flights).
So, grab your wands and cast all the Harry Potter spells you know as the next couple of months are going to be filled with a whole host of magic.
